Happy Birthday

Baby Troy turned 1 on 20th june 2004. Being a pretty significant milestone, mummy and daddy feel compelled to record this on his blog (also feeling guilty for the radio silence since the animal farm visit).

Lazy mummy did not want to throw a large birthday party for him,especially since he wouldn't know any better. so the task fell on grandma who loves to throw lavish dinner parties.

sadly, baby troy decided to misbehave on his 1st birthday. having starting toddling around a few weeks ago, Troy shares unknown affinity with all things electronic and expensive (just like Daddy). He has already destroyed mummy's mobile phone (death through drool), the VCR (death through repeated fiddling), the universal remote (half side paralysis through repeated thrashing), mummy's office secure ID (cracked LCD through hurling). (Note: all to be deducted from birthday ang pow). anyway, we digress.... on that day, Troy repeatedly switching the SCV box on and off, as well as playing the DVD simultaneously. When we tried to stop him, baby Troy threw a major tantrum. Daddy decided to spank him, setting off an even bigger tantrum.

All that tantrum throwing tired our little birthday boy. so by 8 pm at Grandma's house, Baby Troy was Mr Grumps. We quickly sang his birthday song and cut the cake before dinner, then Baby Troy was put to sleep. Poor little bugger never got to eat his birthday cake. Oh well,lots more birthdays to come....
